An Aid for pH Measurement

Traditional Calibrating Standards - Potassium Chloride A pH 4.00 buffer with sufficient potassium chloride to make it 3 molar in potassium chloride. This prevents filling solution ions from diffusing out of the electrode. The result of this storage mode is longer electrode life and more rapid response, preventing sluggish electrodes. Separate silver/silver chloride reference electrodes are also safeguarded with this solution.
